We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. yes a thin taskbar would look good, i agree wid u OS69...
1. The right-hand side MENU of of Start > All Program has some window like effect showing up. I do not know if it was intentional on your part but it kins of seems a little distracting to me.
2. Make this available in Tahoma font
3. ShellStyle does not seem to be working
4. May be make the Start button a little smaller?
5. Log off and Shutdown text is hard to read and also when you do mouse-over on Menu.

few things:
- the close button on maxcaption is seems to far to the left maybe play with the contentmargins or adjust the maxcaption titlebar
- if you intend to keep the whole in the startmenu adjust the content margins of the placesbar so the highlight background doesnt overlap
- and yeah...I'm a sucker for thin taskbars too
